m/38 vs m38a1

ran across a pretty well used up m/38a1 i was wondering if the drive train is compatable < axles , trans , transfer case steering box > to the m/38?just curious thanks newton

The axles, tranny, transfer, brakes (minor differences on service brake drum style and serious difference on emerg brake system), wheels, bumperettes, pintle, electrical system (starter/flywheel/bell housing matches M38 after Feb 52), lights, instruments (fuel sender differs), steering (caution ratio is a little more agressive) and water pump interchange.
