Hello again!
Just one question: is the TM1826A (1952) manual really good for servicing the M38A1 carb. (YS950S)? Or which other manual should I seek?

It covers the YS series carbs just fine. It does not specifically address the YS950S but using the Carter spec sheets along with the TM are all that you need. All are loaded here : http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/mje ... 20Service/ on our web sites for your free use.
