body mount pads

Post by GJK »

Looking for help and sugestions on body mount pads for m38a1. I noticed tractor supply sells conveyor belt material , looks like 1/8 inch thick. How about cutting sidewall out of a tire? I know to do it as per original specs I need 3/16 1/8 and 1/4 thick pieces. I know I can buy them from jeep part suppliers, but I'm trying to save a few bucks. Also can anyone recommend were I can buy brass fittings such as fording valve 90 elbow near pvc valve (missing one). Also tee for vacuum line on bell housing.

I used an old mudflap that was the same thickness. Cut to fit. It has been 9 years and still going. Just another option.

Try McMaster Carr online.

Thay have all kinds of rubber sheets in thickness, length, etc.

I cut my to the size that was needed.

For your fittings try this site...

http://www.fittingsandadapters.com/index.html

Very reasoable and fast shipping, one of the cheapest places I have found and amount does not matter. I have bought one to 100 from them...

Hope this helps...
