Front Plate on Motor

Right now I have a Willys Industrial motor in my 38. It has an adapter on the drivers side motor mount to keep the motor mounted. Is it possible to trade out the CJ2A style front plate on the motor for a 3A or M38 style plate? I have no vaccum/fuel pump. Just a fuel pump.

The correct M38 mount plate will have the left mount ear facing forward and the right mount ear facing aft. The left mount ear will have a curved recess in it allowing clearance for the front long fuel pump mounting bolt.
You'll have to pull your crank pulley, timing gear cover and cam and crank gears (or chain if you have an early engine) to remove the old front plate.
