Hi,
Anybody knows who is selling mirror retaining rubber o-ring? Mirror is mounted on M38A1. It has a U-profile, diameter ca. 5 inches. The mirror is in good shape, do not want to buy a complete new one, only problem is the rubber surround is worn and cracked.

Before we became a throwaway society I always took my broken auto mirrors to the glass shop and they would quickly install a new piece of mirror glass for me. Perhaps they still have this capability.

Yes, they probably do, but i do not need any other part, only the rubber ring. The more common type of trucks here have the mirrors held by plastic ring. Have tried an o-ring maker, but the rubbers they have is not the right profile.

Thanks Wes, this mirror is close, but the mounting is different. I will try to make the ring from rubber tubing. If it turns out ugly, (Bubba) I will have to replace it completely with the arm.
