has anyone recently purchased a YS rebuild kit that was manufactured of materials that will stand up to todays fuels? Sources?
I had to bandaid my carb high speed diaphram with a 1953 NOS diaphram and it will eventually fail.
Sources of kits that you found to be of good quality (possibly made in USA) that will hold up to todays fuels?
I see a lot of them listed but would like to hear from someone who has actually purchased one and can confirm it is recent manufacture and decent quality.

Bought two sets very recently, not installed them yet. I overhaul lots of carburators the material of diaphragms look like any other. I do not expect any trouble (but we'll see) with them. Made by Napco auto Parts in Japan. Have lots of parts in the package, but no instructions. P.N.# CAR-1710 and 11-0578C.

The kit from John at MWM is avery good kit. It is complete with everything you will need. I have one that is still running great after three years of service.

If all you need is the diaphrams---Jim Wallace in FL can replace just the diaphrams---send him your original diaphrams and he will replace them with modern die cut diaphrams. I have had him replace several sets of diaphrams I have and the ones I'm running are doing fine. He also has kits for the carburators and can rebuild them as well. Last ones I got were $5 each plus shipping.

The Napco kit did not turn out too well. The two kits are not the same. Holes on the gasket do not line up. Calibrated holes are not the same as spec or on old part. Drilled holes have burrs. I am in the installing phase, I do not know yet how the jeeps will run with them, but I had to reuse some old parts. It is a poor quality kit. I will order another kit from Midwest or AJP as it was recommended on the forum by some guys.
