Hi,
I have problems with my canvas roof on my M38A1 hitting the top of my head. Am in the UK so need the top on most times. It is quite new and not overly stretched.
I see that one can get a Top Bow rod kit and wonder if this would help.
I also need to know how it is fixed, I cannot find any pictures, only the decription in the manual.
Any help would be appreciated.

The top bow rod kit is a required part of the installation. If you run without it the top will hang lower between the top of the windhshield and the front bow. This can also be worsened if the windshield has been bent to the rear over the years. If your doors tend to hang low at their rear edges then the windhsield is most likely bent towards the rear.

These illustration from Dave's WeeBee Webbing site show the rods and their measurements. These can be easily fabricated.
