On this m38a-1 I guess somebody wanted to be able to tow this jeep because they added these hubs:

These aren't factory, right? My question is......do these hubs replace the drive flange or do they work in conjunction with the flange? Here's the deal........I transport this jeep on a utility trailer and outside of hub to outside of hub there probably isn't 1/2 inch of space between my trailer side rails and these hubs......and I don't mean 1/2" on each side....I mean 1/2" total. That's part of the reason they are so beat up! I'm thinking of going back to the small original hubs for clearance even if it means my hubs are locked in permanently. So would I see any reduction in width.....and would it be enough clearance to compensate for the added wear from full time rotation?
Also.......is there just one seal on the inside of the hub......with a gasket on the outside? And finally......how likely is it that the bronze bushing in the spindle will need to be replaced? Thanks in advance for all your help.
