Well with the help of this forum I got my gauges working!

The only one that seems a little strange is the oil pressure gauge. It likes to "bounce" around so its hard to figure out if its a good reading. Oil pressure was reading about 10 psi after warming up at idle. But when I was driving it look like it as bouncing around from 30-60 all the time.

After the incident Friday I replaced the inline fuel filter some one had installed with a new clear one.

I took it around the block for over 20 mins and then it started sputter again like it was being starved of fuel. I managed to limp it home.

I took a look at the clear fuel filter and as I suspected it was a blackish color where the gas was sitting and you could see some particles floating around.

I am going to drain, clean and restore the gas tank some time this week.

I also discovered my brake light isnt working, I have feeling its not connected.

On the brake light, I'd check the bulb for function,
then for corrosion on the contacts.

Be very very careful removing the lamp door screws,
from what I've read on the Forum, they're prone to
break.

The steel door screws tend to seize in the aluminum threads of the lamp body. Comes from not using anti-seize on the threads. Baby them and soak well with PB Blaster and turn them out only a couple of turns at a time then turn back in lube and turn out again and so on. Sometimes in really tough cases a little heat is the ticket.
