Inside the steering box, sector shaft seems damaged...

Pulled my steering box apart.

Noticed that my pitman arm shaft must have been hit really hard because the splines that it interlocks onto the sector shaft are bent and sheered off in some places. You really cant tell form the picture but in person its obvious.

The pins on the cam are also worn.

The only thing I am not sure about is the worm gear. It has a little nick in it but I have no idea if it is what you would call worn.

I think rather then replace it for a rebuilt one it would be much cheaper to just replace the pitman arm, the shaft, bearings and pins myself.

Looks like that worm has had some rough wear in it's lower half. What does the back side of that worm look like? I'd guess that box suffered some severe damage in the past and it was repaired using the old parts.
