My starter seems to have a problem, there appears to be a dead spot when it stops. I have to push on the starter pedal several times hard to get it to kick in.

I am wondering if I have a coil in the case bad... or may be a bad ground( paint and all)

I have taken the stater apart and cleaned th brushes and the armature, lubed the bushings and mechanical parts. With no load the motor seems to spin quite well, when it gets going.

Has anyone seen this, before and what was your cure...

Are the contacts in the switch corroded or burnt?

No, Brand new switch... happens if I bypass switch also
