I bought a knob for the gear shifter leaver for my M38 CDN . The leaver is about 3/8 " in diamiter . and the hole in the knob is about 1/8 " .This is a push on one so do I have to make the hole bigger or can it be forced on the leaver .This is the only M38 in my area so I could use some advice on this Thanks for any help George

A little off topic, does anybody else besides me have screw on knobs? Would be curious to se how many of each are out there.

My M38 has screw on knobs and my M38A1 has push on knobs. I did replace the knob on my A1 and the replacement knobs hole was a very small diameter - cram it on and it will hold tight. If you enlargen the hole it will be a loose fit and the knob could come off.
That's the hole knobby story!
