Anyone ever taken one apart? It seems like it is a sealed beam encased in a metal housing but may only be a small bulb in a housing .
I have an auto@lite that needs rewiring.

it is a whole sealed beam unit, alot of people who owned these mvs took the metal cover and hood off and was left with a spot light, newer b.o. drive lights in the late 70's and 80's were just a common replaceable bulb such as the units installed in cucv's, you can resolder new wires on back of your bulb if bulb is good.
