HIi folks, sometime ago, there was much discussion regarding new batteries for M38, both same as original and some near the same size; I can't seem to locate anything using 'search.' Can anyone suggest how to reengage. Also, I do not receive an email notifiying me that someone has answered my querry even though I have checked nd rechecked my profile. Any suggestions? I receive all of the other traffic. Semper Fi Ben

Hi Wes, thanks for your reply; yes, checking my profile again, every possible option is 'on' and under options on my post and reply HTML is On; BBCode is ON; Smiles are On; Attach signature is checked and notify me when a reply is posted is checked. User name and email is correct in profile as well as on this reply.

Thanks regarding the battery; have already compared Group 50 and as you said it will fit but it is an inch too short. Have not checked 22NF but will soon.

I kinow that there are some for sale that are exact or near repro but last time I checked, they were running about $ 130.00 when received and filled. I bought two extra from Kevin and used one, still have one never used so will use it to replace my bad one---just looking at options for replacing. I can start and run leatherneck with the set I have but if I let it set for a week or so, I have to charge the one in the cowl---guess that is not big deal.

I have looked at every suggestion made about the stuttering problem. I did add some Heet and it idled for about 30 minutes today without a stutter---wish I could get it out on the road for a test run. LN really sounds good except when I first start it and I still have a valve (s) sticking but soon it smooths out. Take care and Semper Fi Ben
