In a pinch I have successfully and reliably used #14 crimp-on bullet connectors (after removing their plastic shell) and re-using the remaining parts of the shell, grommet and backing from the original harness. The crimp-on bullets are available at the HW store and fit the original "butt splices" and split connectors of the M-series.
