Strange M38A1s?

I found these pictures in an old email of mine when I was looking for a M38A1 back in 2005.

Are these some type of special radio jeep?

The heavy radio M38A1's had the 100 amp electrical systems. Where did you see those A1's?

I noticed in one of the pictures that there is a super long cable that looks similar to a generator to regulatopr cable (only much longer). I have one of these at home. It's like 3 or 4 feet long. Is this a radio Jeep cable?

Not all radio jeeps used the 100 amp alternator system. As you can also see in the above photos there are two different 100 amp kit installations. One with the regulator on the original regulator mount (no heater installed) and one with it on the other side because a heater is installed on the right inner fender. So the cable lengths will vary but they are unique to this installation.

Great pictures. Good thing you passed on those because they look like way too much work and cost to get rid of the rust.
