Generator regulator ?

Did M38's come with Delco Remy regulators. The G740 only shows Auto Lite. If so, I need some parts. Model number 1118656. Ord. #8360020. Ser. #4235 Thanks

The Delco's were added when Army added Delco to the supplier list for that application. It's a very different looking regulator but uses the same plugs and provides the same function. It became a suitable replacement after 55. Go to our downloads page and download the M38A1 ORD 9. The Delco regulator and generator are illustrated there. You can use either or mix and match IE a Delco regulator with an Auto-Lite generator and etc with no problems.
