hello: I know the fenders, grill, & battery box lid are unique to 1952 m38a1 production.
What else is unique with early 1952 m38a1 production?

If you take out your copy of the ORD 9 SNL G-758 parts manual for the A1 and just run your finger thru the pages and jot down each item you find a "serial number used on" comment in the remarks column you can see what that item was and when it changed.
This would take care of about 95% of the changes that occurred from 1952 thru 1968.
