I have an oil filter like the CJ3a in this picture http://willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php? ... t=cj3a+oil

Does the steel element come out the bottom for cleaning? If it does mine is stuck.

The filter can be cleaned by removing the whole housing and cleaning the whole shebang, it does not come out of the housing.
