tire chains

Hello all,
I am wanting to purchase a set of tire chains for my M38. I have 7.00X16LT non-directional cross country tires on it.
I am not looking for military original chains, but new chains for backroad driving in the snow. The tire chain sites list a ton of sizes and they have 7.00X16LT and 7.00X16.
Does anyone have any experience sizing chains for non-directional cross country tires? I don't know what size to get because I am concerned the rounded shoulders on the tires will come into play in the sizing....or not?
