That is the floor plate for the arctic heater. It goes in place of the floor plate that unbolts from the passenger toe board.

John wins! the wire went to the control box from the engine heater.

That's kinda what I thought. Does anyone have a photo(I'm sure Wes does)of what the heater and switch looks like ? Oh Wes, I didn't have the other views cause this was on E-Bay. Got it for $5.00. Even though I already have one but didn't have the wires. Since my M38 has a Arctic cab I might as well have a heater too. Thanks for the replys Fellas.

It's not for the gas fired personnel heater kit though. It is for the power plant heater kit and is covered in TB 9-2855-3.

I knew it !!! Wes, you got all the answers. Thanks alot. That explains the
heater core in the bottom fo my cowl batt. box. By the way, you must stay up all night looking at all the posts on these forums.(WMJ,Yahoo,SS and the G503) It's 10:30 PM on the West Coast.

You have a rare M38 since we find very few with the power plant kit still installed. If at all possible can you email me some detailed photos of the parts of the kit you still have installed?

Not much installed. When I got the Jeep it was all tore apart. Didn't have an engine. Dude Bubba'd a 289 ford in it. He went and skrewed up the frame by cuttin off the round cross member and weldin a plate accross the frame. Motor mounts were junk also. I'm just tryin to put her back together. I'll send you what I can. I don't even have any data plates.
