I just got this skid plate shipped to me and it doesn't match the picture in Ryan Miller's m38 reference guide and wanted to know if this is the correct skid plate for my 9/51 M38?
If so it needs some TLC with a hammer and press to get the correct shape back and was wondering what the correct shape should be?

Well after writing this I thought I could copy and paste the photos of the skid plate here. That did't work! I keep my computer skills to a minimum and my photos are just on my computer and have no idea how to get them on this post! a helpful explanation of that would be great.

Until I can figure that all out is there someone with higher computer skills than mine have some pics of the skid plates in quetion?

To post a photo here you must have the photo already loaded on a web site. Then by using the "Img" above the dialog box and the URL (Web address) of your photo you can link in the dialog box to that photo.

The first time you click on the "Img" this will appear at the end of your URL.

Thus you should end up with this:


I opened a photo album for you on our photo album page. and this is the link to it:

Follow the instructions at the link in the pull down lists to add your photos to your album. When you select "add photo" a new pop up window will appear with a browse list on it. Now browse through your computer files to find the photo you want to load and click "open" to copy that photo to the browse list in the small pop up window.

The pop up looks like this:

* Applet * Form * URL * Other * Admin

Click the Browse button to locate a photo to upload.
Supported file types: jpg, jpeg, gif, png, avi, mpg, mpeg, wmv, mov, swf, mp4

Tip: Upload a ZIP file full of photos and movies!
1. Select the number of files you want to upload:
Optional: Select the number of meta data files you want to upload:
2. Use the Browse button to find the photos on your computer
