First attempt to post pics this site M38.

I followed the instructions under the FAQ section. Can somebody tell me why the pictures did not link?

You don't have an image specified at the end i.e.

At the Photobucket website, if you role over the image it will present you with a list of text to cut and paste into your posting here. Highlight and cut the one with the .

The link you used was for the entire group of photos on your Photo Bucket site.

This is the link you should have used for just a single photo:

You open the photo on the Photo Bucket site then right click on the photo and then copy the URL and paste it here between the Img dodads.

Or you can go to your Photo Bucket index page with the small copies of each of your photos then move the cursor over the photo you want and when the drop down list appears slide the cursor down the list and click on the last item

then right click the blue letters and click copy then paste those here without using our web sites Img dodads.

What a nice looking jeep to start with

Yes, I am really thrilled with this jeep. very solid, I believe this was once a surplused forrestry service jeep, and had been sheltered most of it's life. Very few Bubba mods. First thing to go was the bubba seat. some PO had taken a BFH and made grape fruit size dents in the wheel wells so the bubba seat would fit just right for him. Atl leat he didn't cut it and I can get the dents out. That is the only bent metal on it. All military fittings had been removed, except back seat fittings are all still there. I have removed the front bumper with the big plate welded to it for the tow bar, and purchased a new front bumper. Back bumperrettes were torched off, but attach points are still there and not touched. Engine and serial numbers match for M38, except cylinder head has no water outli\et flange, so must be an MB head. Air cleaner and oil filter were gone, and has a WO carburetor, otherwise it's all stock. Engine runs like a sewing machine. I am anxious to return it to prime condition, but will take my time.

Looks a lot like mine condition wise, only I don't have such a beautiful paint job. Have a lot of surface rust maybe a couple spots of rust through but other then that she's "cherry". Had good front seat frames with rotten cushions but no rear seat. And like you all the military lighting is gone but it's still 24volt. If I may ask, how much? I think I stole mine for $850.00(which included a hardtop) but had to buy a new starter,fuel tank and of course seat cushions. She runs good also, like a sewing machine and she even stops good, a definite plus. We'll both be having some future fun.
