This is the very rare 1953 M38A1 Willys jeep, in Good condition. Original engine and drivetrain. Runs good and has a clear title. This model jeep was the type vehicle used to win WW II and was also used in Korea. This model jeep served as a soldiers lifeline through much of these 2 wars. This is the type vechicle used in the MASH epesodes and a real honest to goodness Willys jeep. Known for being reliable, dependable, and #@$%@ near indestructable. This vehicle has been garaged for almost 20 years, and well maintained. If you want to climb rocks in Moab, run mud in Texas, or use it to get around on a Texas Deer lease you may have an interest in this vehicle. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt. It has a new electrical harness, replaced brake linings, clutch and Worn 5000 lb wench and Lock Out hubs. It has the original 24 Volt electrical system and a new distributer. All good Cooper Tires. It has a Military Heater installed and all the Canvas is available including removable doors.

Well, if his exposure to US Military history, like many out there, is largely watching TCM and AMC over Memorial Day, and 4th of July, that is to be expected. Likewise, many may think that the German Panzer Divisions were equipped w/ Tigers and M-47's!

I think his exposure to a history teacher is suspect here - and maybe his math teacher. The numbers 1941-45 are not the same as 1953.

He did state that it was a very rare M38A1. Probably the only M38A1 that was in WW2. So that would be extremely rare. One of a kind!

I like the fact that it comes with a worn wench, I've never seen anyone trying to include their old lady in the deal even if she does weigh 4000 lbs.

Yeah, a good condition Warn winch would be good for another project, but a worn winch isn't a selling point.
