I have determined that my M38 is a post serial #65927 as I cannot find any circuit breaker mounting locations on it.
But, I would like to incorporate the protection of the breakers into my vehicle. So, would I simply purchase the four breakers and wire it according to the wiring schematic in the TM9-8012?

I am not sure of the serial number cut off, but my M-38 has 3 breakers on the drivers side of the cowl battery box. They mount to a U shaped channel on the side of the battery box. These breakers have a double Douglas connecto on one side and a single on the other...
They are daisy chained from the battery...
I was able to get the breakers NOS from Brian Asbury in Canada for $16.00 ea Still in the original cartons unopened...
Hope this helps...

Thanks Hal,
Per the parts manual, the breakers were installed thru #65927. From what I understand, after that the light switch had an internal breaker and the four were omitted.
As expensive as parts are and such, I thought I would wire up my post #65927 M38 to include them. Although not factory correct, it would give me a piece of mind.

You can do that. The bracket for the 3 breakers is still on the inboard side of the cowl battery box. The instrument cluster for the lateer dash will need the two holes drilled in it to mount the instument power circuit breaker and of course you will have to use the earlier wiring diagram.
