Temp unit

Where shall I mount the temp thing on the engine

I cant find a hole big enought for it.
It have cappilar tube. (spelling)

on my spare engine I found a place on the cylinderhead but on the restored engine that hole is much smaller 8O

non of the engine is orginal and origin unknown of the one I have restored.

It might end up with an electrical insteed and I can live with that.
If so what model uses electrical temp gauges.

I have a CJ3B/M606 -56

The temp gauge on most of the Miliutary vehicles is electric... at lease it is on my M-38... I use to have a capillary temp sender but it came with adapters to let it fit...

Hope this helps...

The referenced electric sender types were 24 volt. Your M606 should be 12 volt. The capillary tube type sender was originally installed on the left rear side of the cylinder head in I believe a 3/4" pipe threaded hole. You may have to choose a different capillary type with a 3/4" pipe thread fitting.
