M38A1 vacuum pressure

This is part of a previous problem about the air cooling of the coil in the distributer. i think that the vacuum pressure is a bit low on the pipe from the vacuum pump to the distributer, and i was wondering what sort of pressure it should be, does anyone have any idea?
For the record; the windscreen wipers seem to work ok.

I have checked the windscreen wipers again and they seem to work ok when the engine is idling but the RH side one is a bit weak and stops when I rev the engine (this is with a dry windscreen). Is this normal because I am thinking that the diaphragm in the the vacuum pump may be showing signs of wear. this may then point to a weak vacuum to the distributor.

Hello Andy,
I believe I responded to your post somewhere with the correct vacuum readings you should have. Did you gauge your system yet?
Try a little squirt of very light weight oil in the suction port of each wiper motor.

I have done a reading on the wipers and they read 12 and 10 inches at idle for left and right wipers respectively. So the pressure is ok. Is the spec for the supply pipe from the T to the switch the same as for the wipers (7/32 ID with 3/32 wall thicknes)?
