Does anyone know where I can get an original style muffler that is quiet!
I put a new one on my M38 that I bought from Brent Mullins years ago that sounds like a Farmall tractor when I go down the road.I don't want to spend good money only to find out that the new one is just as loud.

Apparently no one makes a good reproduction M38 muffler. Maybe try Pete Debella and buy a CJ2A repro muffler.

My muffler an pipe were painted green. I guess made in Taiwan. But the muffler doesn't sound excessively loud.

The muffler I got from PD sounds a bit louder than my buddy's GPW. I figure it's a different design. It isn't too, loud, but it isn't as quiet as the WWII design. I live with it.

Has anyone found a good source for the m38 mufflers? I need a new exhaust for my jeep and will be putting one in this summer. I have heard Chuck's jeep run and seen that the current repop mufflers dont seem to last.

Walker Mufflers lists their model 21012 for the CJ, DJ, and FJ. Has anyone tried this muffler? How does it sound? It is one of their Quiet Flow line of mufflers. Round profile with a 1-5/8" inlet and 1-1/2" outlet. I know it probably wouldn't be show perfect, but if it is quiet and lasts better than junk repros I wouldn't mind.
