pilot bushing

I'm just getting ready to put my motor back in my 3a, and wanted to check on the pilot bushing placement, I tapped it in till it bottomed out and it is just not quite flush on the outside, just verrry ever so slightly in. is this o.k? i feel it probably is but wanted to make sure before i go any farther. I'm not a mechanic (just a body man) so I'm second guessing myself on all the mechanics since i'm trying to do it myself as much as possible. thanks!
