I spent all day today scanning these in. He was in a Communications unit that would do stuff to the enemies communications.

Photos range from his time in basic to some time in 1955-1956 ish.

Locations depicted are Fort Lee Virgina, the Philippines, Formosa and Korea.

Date range 1951-1955
There are over 250 photos...I recommend you view them all.

Has all kinds of vehicles in it along with some large radio antennas, I don't have a clue what they are though...

Keep in mind he was in his 20s or so...so beware of conquest photos like below...hehe

Great pictures.

I can add a little detail to some of the photo's. After about picture 200 to 256 their are several pictures of Colonial Williamsburg which still looks just about like the pictures. The wooden barracks pictured used to be found all over Virginia in various locations until about the 1990's. Left overs from WWII and earlier. Most of these buildings have been torn down due to asbetos in their construction.

Williamsburg is a bit of a drive from Ft.Lee so it must of been a big day out.

Ft. Lee has a Quartermaster Museum if your in the area.

There are some great photographs around of Santa Claus driving a Willys MA in the early days of WWII at Fort Lee. A very active place even today.
