Fuel pump fittings

Hello gents:

Need to know the size of the fuel line, as well as connector nuts.

I rebuilt the pump, but I need the above info in order to complete fuel line connections.

Also, does the fuel line use single or double flare ends?

Thanks!

Got it done...

In case it helps, here's the details.

- Pump and carb fitting connections - 1/8"

- Used 1/8" to 1/4" adapters (reducer), flared in 1/4" side

- Used 1/4" connectors for use with 1/4" flared line (steel)

- Used 1/4" rubber (for gasoline) line from chassis fule line to pump (in) side.

I'm thinking of adding a filter in the chassis C-channel, between the fuel petcock valve and the fuel tank as an added safety.

Hope this helps thise with my same question!

The double flare method is preferred. It creates a much stronger flare that will tolerate vibration better. All the correct fittings are listed in the ORD 9 supply manual and Bob W. also has most listed on his CJ3A web page where he has the M38 vent system listed. Also do not forget the center pump body vent hole. If you have the full vent system you need the special check valve fitting at that point. If you do not run a full vent system then you'll need the capped type vent valve that you find on the two axle housing pumpkins.

Thanks, Wes, all lines are double flared as you mentioned. A nice surpise was that I did not remember I had the original butterfly valve for the fuel line cutoff, which I found by pur chance when looking for the flareing kit! Needless to say, than on already!

And I do have most of the fittings fot the vent system, so that is future work, too. Know the tubing size?

Thanks again!
