I have a 1952 M38. The jeep is still 24v and has circuit breakers(3). I have the new wiring harness kit and is complete. I also have the M38 manual and the restoration guide(M38 bible). No where in any of these is a diagram to wire in the circuit breakers. If anybody has any information, I would appreciate it!

It's all there in either the TM 9-804 (early M38 operations an maintenance) or TM 9-8012 (later M38 operations and maintenance). The later manual shows the early wiring differences as dotted lines.

Thank you for the information, its just what I needed. Also had a couple more questions maybe you could answer. First, the serial number is 59383. We are getting ready to paint stencils/markings and are tryinmg to figure out the division and proper makrkings for the jeep.

Thanks

That depends on what military branch you are restoring your jeep to match and what period in the jeep's life IE as from the factory or serving with a specific unit say in 1959.

Again it's all in the manuals. AR850-5 covers Army markings until about late 50's and then TB 746-93-1 up thru the 70's. The Navy, Marines and USAF had their own marking manuals. They are available from Portrayal Press and can be found on line in PDF form for free download. The AR850-5 is up on the Jeep Draw web site and the TB 746-93-1 is up on the United Kingdom Military Radios web site. You'll find articles on Navy, Marine and USAF markings in the popular back issues of Military Vehicles Mag and the MVPA Army Motors.

I have many important pages on my photo web site.
