Spring bushing question

My springs had the tube-rubber-tube type bushings at the pivet eye (inner frame point). ORD 9 SNL G-740 on pages 278-281 shows just a bronze bearing with greasable bolt was used. Was the rubber ones ever used stock on an M38? From what I see, the M38A1 had the rubber type. Either one preferred over the other?

I believe those rubber bushings belong in the leaf spring eyes on the fixed pivot side. The shackle side is a different animal.

Not according to the manual, they are showing bronze bearings. I understand the opposite shackle end. I ithink I'm going to order the stock setup with the bronze bushing setup.

I'm confused.....what are the dates on your manual....I'm looking at the ORD 9 SNL G-740 for the M38 dated Sept 1955 and it shows all silent block rubber bearings at the pivot ends of both the front and back springs.....and my ORD 9 SNL G-758 for the M38A-1 dated Sept 56 shows the exact same thing. Neither show anything about a bronze bushing or a grease zerk fitted bolt...in fact all four places show to use the same 7/16" x 3" bolt. Am I missing something here?

There are no references to anything bronze for the pivot end of any of the springs. M38 ORD 9's NOV 51 and SEP 55 both list it as (WO# 801624) (FSN 3120-769-7597) ORD# 7697597 Bearing for both front and rear springs. The same bolt is in all four listings ORD#124155 7/16-20NF-3x3 without any grease fitting.
Nov 51
Front listing is
Bearing, bushing type, silent block (front spring)
Rear listing is
Bearing, silent block (rear spring)
Sep 55
Front listing is
Bearing, silent block, bushing type (front spring)
Rear listing is
Bearing, silent block (rear spring)
The M38 ORD 8 also lists the same 7697597 bushing and lists it as Bearing, bushing type. eye. But the ORD 8 introduces another Manufacturer's # HP-10102.

M38A1 listings are different.
SEP 56 ORD 9
Front listing
ORD# 8329602 (WO# 806909) Bearing, bushing type, silent block
Rear listing
ORD# 8329602 (WO# 806909) Bearing, bushing type, silent block
The bolt listing front and rear is
ORD# 8332529 (WO# 809236)(FSN 5305-174-4195) Bolt, mach, hex-hd, S, cd- or zn-pltd, 7/16-20NF-3x3 (spring pivot.
Again no grease fitting.
These listings are the same parts in the M38A1 -20P 1959 and 1966.

No where are any grease fitting equipped bolts and bronze type bushings listed for either model jeep.

Ya guys, upon reviewing what I thought I saw yesterday, I have no idea why I was thinking that! It clearly states
7697597 BEARING, silent block (rear spring)
124155 BOLT, MACHINE, hex-hd, S, cd or zn-pltd, 7/16-20NF- 3 x 3 (spring pivot)
Sorry, I feel like an idiot
