Jeep bumper code please help

Hi Guys
I have done reserch in to the jeep markings and found it quite confusing
I have a code this is

2[triangle]-82R C-2

This is a bumper code for the
2nd armoured division 82nd cavalry reconnaisance squadron ETO 1944
I have a model of a jeep with a .50 cal. machine gun mounted behind the front seats therefore a recon/fighting jeep

Is this code appropriate and historically accurate to depict a recon jeep of ww2?
