Clutch release bearing question

I recently ordered a new bearing figuring mine was bad but the new one I got today has the same movement side to side. It can shift roughly about 3/32" inside the housing of the bearing. This is the side that is the interference fit to the carrier. Hope this make sense. The whole backside moves back and forth. Hopefully someone has noticed this to? To clarify, the fitment is not loose on the carrier, its just loose by itself.

That bearing is designed to support pressure on its front and rear face. A little movement side to side won't affect the bearing.
