...so based on this, I am considering that the thermostat must be installed, correct?

Sorry, but the question I made was in respect to the hose connections between engine and heater.

The heater will work with or without the thermostat. If you run without the thermostat do not expect a lot of heat from the heater.

Fine, once everything installed correctly, let's see how far can the heater warm up sufficiently.
Thanks WK (please tell me: HOW can you manage your time to answer that many questions and do searches for all these sort of questions from WMJ members...I can figure you spend your full-day on this, no?)

No, not the full day but a few hours in the morning and evening and during lunch. I am self employed so my time is flexible occasionally. It's not quite the amount of research you may think. I have been a mechanic since 1960. I have owned and rebuilt my jeeps since 1970 so I can usually arrive at an answer fairly quick. :wink:
