Well, I was not anxious to buy another MD Juan gas tank after my M38A1 experience. After some re-assurance, I took the leap of faith. I'm pleased to report all but one measurement were the same. Even the sender was clocked correct!!!!!!!! The tank is exactly 1/4 inch taller. I test fitted it to see if it fit the drain hole, filler neck, hold down strap, rear hold down. It all fit!!!! Nice center on the side fill. Then the tough one, seat height. I can slide a piece of paper under the rear most cross cushion bar. JUST made it. I sighed a big sigh of relief. The rear strap tab was located correctly?

Wes, with the neck centered in the hole, the rear tab was perfect with the hole in the floor for the rear strap. The drain was only a little to one side of the hole in the floor, but still let the tank sit flat on the floor. The only beef was the height. I may have to put a dimple on the top rear seam for the fuel line to not rub on the seat frame. Like you have to dimple the A1 tank for the front to back strap. This tank must be improved. John
