Those 8 and 10M Lb Bradens are too heavy for the jeep.

This is what I'm looking at. They say it's only like a 4,000 lb winch

Actually, they guessed it was in the 4000 to 5000 Lb pull rating. They do not even know the make & model number of the winch. If you really want to put that winch in your jeep then contact that seller and send him this thread link and have him give you dimensions A, B & C in the photo and then ask him for the Make and Model number of the winch.

The jeep has several mechanical winches available that were designed for it in both fit and pull capacity.

1-Original military Ramsey 50 and 50R
2-Ramsey civvy 200 series (reguires modification of exhasut on M38/M38A1)
3-Koenig 100 series (reguires modification of exhasut on M38/M38A1)

If you think $1500 to $2500 is too much wait till you find a Ramsey 50. 50R or 200! Depending on condition and completeness those winches with PTO's and drive shafts = $2500 to $5000.

I know-I've seen them for $2,500 and up. Do you know what else works besides a Ramsey 50, and the Koenig winches?
