YS Carbs...??

Will a Carter YS carb from an OHV M38A1, engine... function satisfactorily on an M38 flathead engine and vice versa... ?
1950-M38, 1952-M38, 1964 M151A1, Mechanical Mule, 1945 CCKW,M100 trailer, M416 trailer.

No , the throttle shaft body bolt pattern is narrower on the m38 than the m38a1 (where it bolts to the intake) and will not bolt up to one another.
