Am mounting a 1919A on a M38. I know that they were not set up for machine guns. Does anybody have any experiance with this setup. Any info would be appreciated.

Search this web site for machine gun mounts and you'll see at least 3 or 4 threads discussing how the Army solved the issue 50 years ago.

Read the TB-ORD, pint it and just follow the instructions.
