Follow Me Paint Scheme & Tire Balance Update

I just picked up my tires after they were mounted and balanced. Well, all but one of them. One would require 11 ounces of weight and I elected to use that one as the spare, without the weights. Weights are being mounted on the inside by the way. The tires are Denman's from Lucas. One took as little as 1/2 ounce of weight. Thought you might like to know.
The M38A1 I am restoring was a Marine Corp order but nabbed at some point by the Navy and identified with their numbers. I found yellow paint on the wheels but the A1 came without a spare. I am restoring this as it was used and mounting a spare, so I am trying to decide what color to paint the spare rim. Marine Corp green or base federal yellow? I saw a picture of a "follow me" A1 taken on a base in Riverside, Ca. The spare and ground wheels were painted yellow and the vehicle was a checkerboard paint scheme of yellow and green. The only other air base A1 I have seen was all yellow, body and wheels. My A1 body was never painted yellow.
Wes explained in another post that air base vehicles usually did not carry a spare or tools and would check one out if going off base. I am leaning toward painting the spare yellow as green would just look odd, but might actually be more correct. Since I am a committee of one, I would like to get some feedback on what you think. Comments appreciated. You might have to put up looking at this at a military meet.
