It is either Gillespie's 23070 or Army Jeep Parts' "Late WWII OD" They are the closest two off the shelf colors that will look like the original 2430 OD used by Willys. Using either and darkening slightly with some 24087 will usually give the best original color match you can get.

hmmm now the point is what is the reference for RAL (the color code in europe)

I tried to find a match for my M38's USAF strata blue, by comparing the original colour with RAL & BS paint chips. I tried about 10 different shades of blue, based on the paint chips selected appearing to be a very close match. Suffice to say, none of them were anywhere near. :x :x :x

I ended up providing a paint supplier in the UK with a sample of my jeep's original colour, and they mixed up a batch of semi-gloss paint to suit. Worked really well too!

That was my experience with the RAL vs. Federal Standard paint systems. Good luck with your paint search......
