24 volt to 12 volt

I am tring to figure out the conversion from 24 volt to 12 it looks like someone already did it but the wires all need replaced dose anyone have a diagram that i can use to replace the entire wire system ? and is it possible with this change to get rid of the points ? (they are in the distributor with a coil mounted . there is also a box on the fire wall that says 12volt dc ground that all the wires go to but under the front dash D.S there is a box that says 6volt _ 12 volt there is a picture of the generator on my pics is this 12 or 24?
its the f124 I would like to get a regular 12 volt alt for this jeep

You should not need to figure out any 24 volt to 12 volt conversion. As we determined in your earlier post you have a civilian 1955 CJ5. They only came in 6 or 12 volt. The only visual difference between a 55 6 volt generator and a 55 12 volt generator is the data plate model number and rating.
