CANVAS OR VINYL seats?

Post by dayboy42 »

Here's a easy one... Is my 1952 M38 supposed to have canvas or vinyl seats?

:)

To date it appears that both may have been used during M38 production. The A1 was introduced in spring 1952 with a lot of bragging by Willys marketing on it's new vinyl seat covers.

My '51 M38 has canvas seats. I can't confirm that the covering is original but from the condition of the material and the stuffing and springs, I'd bet that the canvas has been there for 60 years.
