Does anyone know where to purchase and what type of head and material these rivets are made out of please

Most of the vendors carry them. Or you can go with any local hardware supplier that offers in brass, tubular style flat head rivet. You can struggle with various improvised setting tools or purchase the correct tubular rivet set. If you are close to an airfield the engineer there will always have the proper setting tool.
The official nomenclature from the ORD 9 IPL is:
Rivet, tubular, oval head, brass, 1/8" x 1/8" (diameter x grip length)
