Keep in mind that the Mad Dog Juan hood is slightly longer and taller
than the real deal

The position of your existing fender holes
relevant to the hood holes bears scrutiny. I have a loose orig hood
in the shop and will get measurements this pm but be sure to
study the relation of the orig hole measurements as applys
to the MDJ hood.

Just in case the travel and stretch of the new hood latch isn't a perfect match for the original latch test fit it first and make sure it is tight enough to stay in place but not so tight you have to lift up the fender to hook it in place.
Have someone hold the striker plate on top of your new marks on the hood and you install the latch on the fender and pull up on it to hook it. The hook tip should just clear the top edge of the striker. If it clears by a lot you need to move the striker plate up.
