M38A1 Back seat question.
Backseat question- most vendors have the back seats for the M38 listed but not for the M38A1. Are these the same or are modifications needed? Also what attachment hardware is needed? Anybody know of any good used back seats for a 1955 M38A1?

The M38 and M38A1 use the same back seat. The hardware needed should be welded and bolted to the two wheel houses already.

John at Midwest has the hardware.

Back seat
My project Jeep tub is missing all the rear seat mounting hardware while my parts jeep only has the forward rest.
That said, the parts are available from various sources. I found some of the things I needed on eBay.
As to the seat itself, where are you located? I found a seat frame for another guy but if he passes on it I might be able to help you out.
