wiring harness

Post by RHarris »

Question? Could a M151 wiring harness be used on a M38a1 without much trouble. The reason is, I have a near new one and the m38a1 has pieces of a couple of wore out ones. RH

Depends on what you figure "Too much trouble is". If being stock is not a concern then I think you'll find using the M151 harness and modifying it to fit a good move. The only real issues will be wire lengths around the engine compartment and the Packard vs Douglas for early early A1's.. Instrument cluster and dash harness will be very close. Also depends if the harness is a M151, M151A1 or M151A2. The later jeeps will have few differences in alternator vs generator wires.
