M38 Air Cross Over Tube

How important is the 90 degree bend in the vent pipe that comes into the bottom of the air cross over pipe? My fitting is there but the 90 degree bent tube is broken off.

You will loose a wee bit of cooling efficiency and fume removal capability on the distributor fresh air system. That 90 degree tube should have captured the inward flowing fresh air from the air cleaner and carried it through the distributor.
