tool box question

Can somebody tell me what the approximate distance is (in inches) from the front of the mid-floor riser to the front edge of the tool box on an M38A-1? I just need something I can check against to verify that the old spot weld mark on the old transmission hump is still correct after having been married to the new floor pan. As an alternative, I could use the distance from one of the passenger seat mounts to the mid-floor riser. Thanks.

I have been off the site for awhile and was catching up when I saw your question. If you still need the answer I can measure mine.

Be happy to. But I am a bit unclear what I am going to measure. Is it the floor pan from where it begins to rise, to tool box, height or front to rear that you want? Or the short piece of metal frame between the lid and the riser?.. I am a more than a little dense but if I can picture it I can measure it.

Here's a picture indicating the dimension I'm looking for. The reason I need this.....or at least the reason I think I need this is because I have totally redone the floors in my jeep and reused the transmission hump and I just want to confirm that when I tack in the new tool box I can align it to the old marks on the reused hump and that it will be in the right place with regard to the riser between the front and rear floors of the jeep.........

On my rust bucket, that measurement is spot on 19". That's from the face of the rear floor riser. If measured from the lip of the rear floor panel that's over the top of the riser, the distance would be shorter by the thickness of the lip of the rear floor panel.

That is what I get as well. 19 inches.
